Jim Branham visits Purdue...

I was at the Institute yesterday (6/28/06), when a familiar face walked in. It was Jim Branham, bringing his youngest son Paul, to his day on campus at Purdue. [Paul will study engineering, and live in Cary Quad.]

Jim is living in the Dallas-Fort Worth area (Keller?), and is in sales for Merck. He is still an avid Purdue fan (season football tickets from 900 miles away!), and apparently makes it back for all the home football games and other special events (NCAA tourney), and occasionally visits his sister who lives in Lafayette. Jim and his wife (Angela) have 4 children.

Jim asked about all of the old Purdue people he could think of, and seemed anxious to be in touch. For those who care to contact him, his email is texboiler1@yahoo.com. He deserves the name: his backyard has a huge block P in the center! Go Boiler Jim!

BTW, I also entertained a visit from Phil and Vicky Boling a couple of weeks ago. They have a daughter, Amy, who is a stellar Institute student. Phil and Vicky have just moved north of Detroit. I will try to get an e-addy for them from Amy when she returns in the Fall. It is FUN to be at Purdue again!
